Trudi van Wyk celebrates 15 years as e-Learning specialist in the South African Department of Education and the Commonwealth of Learning

Vancouver, BC, Canada, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Trudi van Wyk, Education Specialist: eLearning at the Commonwealth of Learning has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in e-learning.

With 15 years of experience as e-learning specialist in the South African Department of Education and the Commonwealth of Learning, Trudi van Wyk is responsible for advancing e-learning across the Commonwealth. She is promoting the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into teaching and learning within governments, institutions and communities and the use of open educational resources in the Caribbean, Africa, South East Asia and the Pacific. She became involved in the profession through her interest in education and the experience she gained as Director for Curriculum Innovation in the national Department of Education in South Africa. She attributes her success to hard work, networking and capitalising on opportunities.

Ms. van Wyk received a Master of Education degree from the University of Johannesburg.
